In our humble opinion, the best songs for a road trip are those that you can sing along with. And if you can’t sing along with them, they should make you want to hum along, at the very least. Here, then, are a few of our favorites.
“Start it Up” by the Rolling Stones
This classic song really makes you want to sing along. And, if you’re not careful, you might end up driving a little too fast, too! So be careful that your foot isn’t tapping that accelerator while you’re singing along.
“More Than a Feeling” by Boston
Who can keep from singing along to this one? It’s just not possible, and if you don’t sing along to this one, you just might be a robot!
“One Headlight” by the Wallflowers
Nothing can lift your mood faster than this song. Do you agree?
“Don’t Stop Believin” by Journey
Yes, this song is cornier than cornbread, but you’ve got to admit that at some point in your life you have rolled up the windows and belted it out.
“Go Your Own Way” by Fleetwood Mac
Fleetwood Mac is one of those groups whose popularity never seems to slow down. Go Your Own Way is a must-have to any road trip.
“Sharp Dressed Man” by ZZ Top
Even the kids in our lives like this one.
“Life is a Highway” by Tom Cochrane
Would it be too “meta” to include this song about life being a highway in a road trip playlist? We think not!
“Interstate Highway” by Stone Temple Pilots
We just love everything about this song.
“Graceland” by Paul Simon
For the love of the ‘80s, you need to have this song on your playlist.
“Little Black Submarines” by Black Keys
When your energy is flagging, play this one -- it’s better than an energy drink.
We hope you enjoyed our playlist suggestions. Before you hit the road this Summer, schedule an appointment for auto maintenance with Brown Motor Works online or give us a call. You’ll be glad you did.
